BASEL Book Talk - CIVIC HGK
On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 6 PM, Rebecca Devika Dharmapalan will read from her recently published book “My Pen Is Sharp like the Gun in My Hand” at CIVIC, HGK Basel. The book explores the revolutionary feminism of the Tamil Tigers.
Rebecca is an interdisciplinary artist, archivist, and social theorist. Her practice engages with themes of memory, resistance, ontological genocide, and trauma.
The reading will be followed by an open discussion, moderated by Sagi Thilipkumar. Sagi is an advocacy activist, lawyer, and photographer. He works in asylum and immigration law and volunteers as an Advocacy Officer at the NGO PEARL.
